On Saturday, I spent an hour at Patricia's Green, a small park at the intersection of Fell St. and Octavia Blvd. in San Francisco. My original plan was to read, but I got distracted by this fellow, who appeared to be waiting for a main course to make itself apparent.
As far as I could tell, it eventually flew into the distance without having caught anything. That said, there was a tense moment where the bird took off just as a very small, unattended dog strolled across an open, grassy area in the park.
After the bird landed on another roof, an observer was heard to say to a friend, "That would've made my week, man… No, that would've made my month!" and followed up with "If you leave your dog alone, that's just the circle of life…"
